ACCOUNTING & FINANCE MANAGER

May 2026

High Lawn Farm is a century-old, family-owned dairy farm and growing business rooted in Lee, MA. We raise our own herd of Jersey dairy cows and oversee every step of the process from farm to finished product, producing a full line of bottled milk and handcrafted artisanal cheese, ice cream, butter, and ghee. In addition to being a working dairy farm, we operate a full-cycle wholesale distribution business serving customers across the region and a thriving on-site farm store and agritourism experience.

As we continue to grow, we are hiring a full-time financial manager to bring greater support and oversight to our operations. This full-time role will have ownership over the financial health of both entities and the opportunity to build and strengthen systems that will support our teams for years to come.

We are looking for an experienced Accounting & Finance Manager who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day financial operations in a hands-on, small business environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who communicates clearly, works well with leadership and operations teams, and is motivated to build structure and improve processes within a growing business.

Independently manage and perform monthly and quarterly company-specific filings, including meals and sales tax reporting, monthly dairy pool reporting, and submissions for eligible tax credit processes, ensuring all deadlines are consistently met.

  • Process Improvement & Systems: Evaluate and improve financial and administrative workflows to increase efficiency and reduce manual processes. Document procedures and establish clear, repeatable systems across accounting and payroll functions.

  • Team Oversight & Collaboration: Directly supervise the Accounting Coordinator and provide functional oversight of Accounts Receivable operations performed by the Wholesale Office team, including the Office Manager and Office Assistant. Partner with General Managers and leadership teams across both companies to ensure financial operations are well-coordinated, and work collaboratively with the front office team on billing, receivables, and collections.

  • General Administrative & Operational Support: Lead budgeting processes, reporting, and other operational initiatives as needed to support the overall success and growth of the business.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or business operations, including experience with full-cycle accounting and payroll processing
